Our Mission
To provide Beach Music, Shag, and Fas' Dance aficianados with the history, past and present, of the music you love. Lost and forgotten Beach music and Shag dancing history is at the heart of all things Born In the Carolinas.
Company Profile
The Endless Summer Network provides several syndicated shows on Beach and Shag music to listeners worldwide, on the Internet and over 50 terrestrial radio stations and their webstreams.
#1) The Beach Music (and Shag) Top 40 Countdown -- now in its 27th year. The Beach Music Top 40 Countdown has set the bar for nearly three decades, and draws from current Beach Music, Shag, Fas' Dancing, West Coast Swing and other improvisational, free-style, goodtime music genres to present the 'cutting edge' of Beach/Shag culture.
#2) Other Specialty shows include: The Beach Music Class Reunion, a yearly spotlight every week on the Top 40 of given years from 1945 to today. In addition to the 40 biggest songs of the year, there are Spotlights on Artists, The great Clubs of the Past, plus popular and local hits which somehow 'fell through the cracks.'
#3) I Love Beach Music -- A wide-open mix of ALL the hits, with primary focus on the 70s and 80s, and to spice things up, an occasional 50s or 60s classic, more the more modern tunes from the 90s, 2000s, and this week's Beach Music Top 40 Countdown.
#4) The Roadhouse Blues and Boogie: Jump Blues, Roots, and Good Time Roadhouse music past and present with a strong mix of Deep Fried and Sanctified R&B from the beginnings -- the Fish Fry side of the Roadhouse show.
